Amidst Foucault, Bourdieu, Derrida, and Butler, three graduate students, who were too old and had far better things to do with their time, attempted to get together on Thursday afternoons to play music in a garage in Bowling Green, Ohio. They wrote about four or five songs and workshopped those songs with a fair bit of devotion.
Unfortunately, papers had to get written, so the practices became fewer and fewer. That’s is unfortunate.
Mike payed drums, Colin played guitar, and James played guitar and sang. They had two bass players (Corey and Dave) for short periods (maybe only a day or two each) and a keyboard play once. It was a lot of fun, but they never played live. The trio recorded (onto Colin’s college cassette four track) for posterity or something, and Colin mixed those recordings with recordings of Cristian (the inspiration for the “In Romania…” titles) telling jokes in English and Romanian.
