In December of 2008, three members of the loosely knit collective 1000000 a.d., Manwerd, Bleh, and C.P., met in an undisclosed Philadelphia location to record the basic tracks of what would become Dedication to John Howard Knee. The three members then left each other’s company with the intention of producing three different albums dedicated to a man named John Howard Knee. Thus far, e-Thrice’s version, Dedication to John Howard Knee, is the only one of the planned trilogy to be turned over to the Cornslaw Industries Board of Directors. In the words of e-Thrice, this one’s a mess.

Basic tracks recorded onto analog 8 track tape in December, 2008 in Philadelphia. The tracks were then transfered to an analog Portostudio and a digital Fostex 8 track. Additional tracks were recorded in Brooklyn, NY in the late Winter and Spring of 2009.

Nothing has every really been known about the Prague Spirit EP. It just dort of showed up one day. Who worked on it? Don’t know. When and where was it recorded? Not sure. But it is pretty cool. One of the Board of Directors’ favorites.

This is a mysterious album from either 2005 or 2006. That is all we know. That, and it showcases e-Thrice’s obsessions with baseball and fowl language.

Poli-Ticking began in the summer of 2005 as an idea… a dream, if you will. The only 1000000 a.d. collection to date to be recorded in a real live studio! It was their Headquarters. Production began in August of 2005 and continued for a handful of sessions throughout the next 6 months or so with a revolving cast of musicians. Largely viewed as incomplete, it was declaired “done” in the summer of 2007. Possibly conceptual in some way.

est. yesterday arrived in some manner possibly in early 2005. That is a complete guess; obscured by the past. Videos were produced for Dr. Hovind (Intro to Uncomplicatedness) by No Hands TV.

For all intents and purposes, this is the first 1000000 a.d. collection, but it is actually just E-Thrice’s pre-1mil recordings we dubbed a “1000000 ad” release. All material was culled from a larger collection (“Break out the Poison”). All songs written and recorded by E-Thrice Manwerd, except “Fade Into You” by David Roback and Hope Sandoval. Music by 1000000 a.d. E-Thrice listed the “1000000 allstars” as:  e-Thrice Manwerd, Parker Cipolle, Keia Adams, MC Tostasdas, Dawn Martrich, Alex Meyers, and Barnes and the “1000000 spirit players” as Wintergames, Niloc Bleh, M Reiter, Lola Wonsidler, Deegs, Gordon Faylor, and Dan Swavelton. Come On Lincoln was recorded between 2004 and 2005.

Though we around here like to consider Come On Lincoln to be the first 1000000 a.d. album, it actually is predated by Break out the poison we’re going to see the prince’s oracle. In fact, Break out the poison is the collection from which Come On Lincoln was built. So, Come On Lincoln is almost entirely included in Break out the poison. But, here it is as it originally was.

The follow-up to 4 Tracks from the 4 Track. Once again, emerging from e-Thrice alone in his nest. Also includes a House of Love cover scrapped from the 1 Mil Press Conference session.

4 Tracks from the 4 Track is a collection that possesses a description which virtually goes without saying… or typing. It was a collection created with an ear towards the past and an eye towards the future. The accompanying organs were likely fixed in similar temporal directions. Recorded in 2007 (we think) and released soon after, this is as close to a follow-up to Poli-Ticking At Gore Grange as one is going to get. I guess that description got typed.

Recorded in one afternoon/evening in Bloomfield, New Jersey and refined over the next week or so by e-Thrice himself. The songs are far shorter and, dare we say, rawer than the previous Poli-Ticking At Gore Grange.
